Caitlyn Jenner Explains Why All Of Her Kids Still Call Her ‘Dad’ Four Years After Her Transition

Caitlyn Jenner is currently in the Australian jungle, competing on the British edition of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here.

While it hasn’t been easy for Caitlyn, who last appeared on the American version 15 years ago, she’s doing the best she can.

During a recent episode, Caitlyn got candid while chatting with the ladies about family. She revealed that despite coming out as a trans woman nearly five years ago, the 70-year-old still goes by “Dad” to her kids.

“My kids all call me Dad,” she explained. “Kendall asked me first and I said ‘Dad,’ I’m your dad and I’ll always be your dad till the day I die.”

“But what they’re really good at which shocks me all the time is when they’re talking about me, ‘My dad she … ‘ and it’s tough to change the pronoun in the middle of it,” she added.

For Caitlyn, she never wants her kids to feel uncomfortable about the time in their lives when she was Bruce. “Bruce raised them, and Caitlyn is enjoying their life with them,” she noted.

Caitlyn is a father of six; 41-year-old Burt and 39-year-old Cassandra with first wife Chrystie Jenner, 38-year-old Brandon and 36-year-old Brody with Linda Thompson, and 24-year-old Kendall and 22-year-old Kylie with Kris Jenner. As of the end of this year, she will be a grandparent to 20 grandchildren. She even shared what those kids call her.

“They came up with Boom Boom,” she revealed. “It kind of stuck. It was easy for them to say.”
